Laverne Kovacs

Laverne M. Kovacs is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1973. She was elected to the University of Pittsburgh Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended the Dickinson School of Law, receiving her Juris Doctorate in 1976. Attorney Kovacs has practiced law in Blair County, Pennsylvania, since 1976, with a concentration in workers' compensation law. She also practices probate and estate administration.

Attorney Kovacs has served as an officer of the Blair County Bar Association and currently serves on the Blair County Bar Association Scholarship Fund Committee. She has lectured in workers' compensation seminars offered by Lorman Education Services and has been an Instructor in the Paralegal Certification Program at the Altoona Campus of Penn State University.
